FAQs for students (is continuously updated)

Due to the current corona pandemic, there are currently changes and restrictions in the area of activity of the Studentenwerk. Below you will find an overview of how you can use our services. Please note that changes can be made at short notice at any time.

 

SERVICE POINTS

The service points in the student houses in Frankfurt (Oder) and Cottbus are open: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 am-3pm, Tuesday 9 am-4pm, Friday 9 am-12pm.
3G applies. Vaccinated, recovered or tested. Please have the relevant proof ready.

Test center on campus

In the area of the residential complexes on the central campus in Cottbus, there is a test center in front of the Quasimono (Erich-Weinert-Straße 2). Free antigen rapid tests (PoC test) are carried out and certificates are issued (in different languages if required). Opening times: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. / weekend 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A test site was set up in the basement of the main building at the Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) : → to the test site

 

LIVING

Moving into our affordable and fully equipped residential complexes in Eberswalde, Cottbus, Frankfurt (Oder) and Senftenberg is possible without restrictions. You can get information on this from our dormitory administration. It goes to the application here .

EAT

Currently, all student union canteens (except Cottbus-Sachsendorf) are open from Monday to Friday. The current opening times can be found on our website and on the notices on site.

 

BAföG

BAföG can be applied for as usual. You can reach our clerks by phone or email. Please make an appointment for a personal consultation.

You can submit applications online put or download.

The Ministry is planning to extend the individual standard period of study and the deadlines for completing semester-related examinations for the 2021/22 winter semester as well.

 

COUNSELING

Please contact our service points in Frankfurt (Oder) or Cottbus (see above) with your questions.

 

KITA

The “Anne Frank” day care center in Cottbus is open from 7 am to 5 pm.

The spread of the coronavirus can only be slowed down with solidarity and decisive measures. Avoid direct social contacts and pay attention to the general ones hygiene tips .
