FAQs for students (is continuously updated)

Due to the current corona pandemic, there are currently a number of changes and restrictions in the area of activity of the Studentenwerk. Below you will find an overview of how you can use our services. Please note that changes can be made at short notice at any time.



The service points in the student houses in Frankfurt (Oder) and Cottbus are closed to the public. Please contact us only by phone or email.

Moving into our affordable and fully equipped residential complexes in Eberswalde, Cottbus, Frankfurt (Oder) and Senftenberg is possible without restrictions. You can obtain information on this from our dormitory administration by phone or email. It goes to the application here .

The Europaplatz canteens in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Zentralcampus in Cottbus (Monday-Friday 12: 30-14: 30) currently offer on-site supplies. The canteen Waldcampus (Eberswalde) continues to offer to go from 12 noon to 2 pm

All other canteens of the Studentenwerk (Stadtcampus Eberswalde, Cottbus-Sachsendorf and Senftenberg) offer a to-go offer from Tuesday to Thursday from 12 noon to 2 pm.



BAföG can be applied for as usual. Our BAföG office in Frankfurt (Oder) cannot be visited at the moment. You can reach our clerks by phone or email. You can submit applications on-line put or download.


Bridging aid

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will again help students who are verifiably in acute emergency due to the corona pandemic with grants from November 2020 to March 2021. They are awarded by the student unions.

The day care center “Anne Frank” is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
